Old Light is a strategy game you play in a galaxy full of other people.

You start with one star. Build it up, send probes to work out who your neighbours are, and push fleets out to take more ground. The thing that makes it different: it all runs in real time, even when you've closed the tab. A build finishes while you're asleep. A fleet you sent last night lands this morning. Someone grabs a system you forgot to defend.

So you don't grind it for hours. You check in, line up a few moves, and leave. The galaxy carries on without you.

A few things worth knowing.

You can see who owns what across the whole map, but not how strong they are. Want to know if the empire next door can actually fight back? Send some probes before you commit a real fleet.

Borders are physical. Every system you hold projects territory outward, and you'll watch yours press up against the people around you.

No install, no download. Type in your name and you're playing, on desktop or phone.

It's free. Play it right here on the page, or go full screen at oldlight.io.
